WOLFEN DP31 features a low ISO and a small exposure latitude, making it perfect for pinhole, portraits and street scene snaps. This black and white film navigates inter-tonal shifts with ease resulting in rich, low grain depictions with vibrant microcontrast.

WOLFEN DP31 is perfect for seasoned professionals as well as creative first time photographers. Particularly appropriate for those who like to take full manual control and experiment with flash photography, WOLFEN DP31 packs crushed shadows and super high contrast renderings, reminiscent of our favourite Film Noir classics.

ORWO Duplicating Positive Film DP 31

Product description: ORWO duplicating positive film DP 31 serves as a film for the production of intermediate positives (master positives). Due to is panchromatic sensitisation this film can be used for duplicating from black & white negatives as well as from colour negatives producing well-balanced grey values referring to original colours. Special features of this film are the excellent resolving power and the extraordinary fine grain. Between the emulsion layer and the clear base is a new AHU-layer ( A nti H alation U nder layer), which will be uncoloured during the processing.

Base: Safety base, polyester, 125 µm, clear

Comment

If you want to receive a very fine graininess we suggest the developer, mentioned down, but you have to expect a little bit less in sensitivity, too. If you are depending to the real sensitivity and a normal fine graininess we suggest you to process according to ORWO Instruction no. 1183 with the phenidone-developer. Depending on the processing equipment, deviations of time and temperature are practicable, if a comparable processing quality is guaranteed. Lower temperatures for spray-washing are practicable too, if the washing time is extended (i.e.30 … 40 % at 12 …15°C).
